After cutting on a wooden cutting board, it can be cleaned with just a damp cloth and mild soap. Standing the board on its edge will help all sides to dry evenly to prevent warping. Never completely submerge in water or place it in a dishwasher. You can apply mineral oil to the cutting board occasionally to protect the wood. If the wood gets scratched or has a rough feel, it can be sanded smooth again with 220-grit sand paper, and then apply a fresh coat of mineral oil.
